The training and promotion of young people ensures the sustainable corporate success of IWN.
For us, standing still is like taking a step backwards!
That is why we do not simply react to impulses from outside. We act actively and determine our future ourselves. IWN has always taken precautions at an early stage - and this is also how we deal with our skilled workers of tomorrow. The training of young people is especially important to us at IWN. They bring new impulses into the company, they offer us a view from the outside, and they are our future skilled personnel.
All IWN trainees are trained as training ambassadors by the IHK Ostwestfalen zu Bielefeld.
In a one-day seminar they learn rhetorical tricks and presentation techniques. Afterwards they present their chosen occupation in schools in the region.
We use trainees as stand personnel at various career orientation fairs. These assignments allow the trainees to practise free speaking, and to develop mediation skills and self-confidence.Learn more
IWN is one of only a few companies in East Westphalia where the IHK final examinations for metal professions are carried out as a company assignment.
Video of the IHK Ostwestfalen zu Bielefeld: Training as a cutting machine operator at IWN. Duration 3:09 minutes.
We have been training new cutting machine operators every year since 2007 - currently four per apprenticeship year. During their apprenticeship, our trainees specialise in a particular field - turning, milling, or grinding.
We also train industrial clerks in our company, but not in every training year. During the three-year dual training programme, trainees learn about the areas of purchasing, sales, accounting, human resources, process control and marketing.Learn more
