A new Swiss-type lathe

Today, with the CNC Swiss-type lathe SR-20R IV type A, IWN has the seventh Swiss-type lathe from the well-known and proven SR-20 series of the machine manufacturer Star in operation.

Compared to its Star predecessor, the SR-20RIV has an additional B axis that is mechanically adjustable or freely programmable. The y-axis on the back provides expandable machining capability. With eight backside tools, more options are available for time-hidden machining. The machine can be equipped with more than 36 tools, 19 of which are driven.

Compared to older Swiss-type lathes, the new SR-20R IV type A is noticeably quieter. The noise level is below 75dB – this benefits the noise protection of the employees. In addition, power consumption is significantly reduced and the Star ECO label assures the use of environmentally friendly and health-friendly materials.
