The new system is already the second IWN photovoltaic system, the first covers large parts of our roofs and has been supplying environmentally conscious solar energy since 2013.
2,664 solar modules were installed in the new photovoltaic system on the field. The peak power, i.e. the maximum possible output of the system, is 999 kW.
The new photovoltaic system is a measure to counteract the sharp rise in energy costs caused by self-produced electricity. At the same time, it is a further step towards achieving complete CO₂ neutrality for IWN. The new facility is forward-looking and sustainable thanks to its mobility. In the event of an imminent expansion of the production halls, the existing system can easily be reinstalled on the roof of the new parts of the building.
