As of tomorrow, the 62-year-old lathe operator will be retired.

This morning, the setter officially said goodbye to the turning technology team with a joint breakfast. After the breakfast break, the official farewell by the superiors took place, during which this photo was also taken. As a farewell, Managing Director Reinhold Schulte presented a large gift basket with Spanish culinary specialties.

When asked if he feared he would have too much peace and quiet now that he was retired, Thenhausen replied that, as a grandfather who will soon be four, he will certainly never be bored thanks to his family and his hobbies of gardening and motorcycling.
