Fire safety trainings in March

On March 4th and March 25th, the training courses for the new fire protection assistants and evacuation assistants took place at IWN.

On these two Saturdays, twenty-six committed colleagues came together in the canteen in a relaxed atmosphere.

In a theory training course lasting several hours, they learned together how fires start, how to prevent fires from starting and how to fight a fire professionally. In addition, our training partner, the Center for Occupational Medicine and Occupational Safety (ZAA), refreshed our knowledge of the correct behavior in the event of a fire and during evacuation.

Following the theoretical instruction, the participants got to know different extinguishing agents and were allowed to do practical work and practice putting out a fire with a fire extinguisher.

Our new fire protection and evacuation experts will now receive an assignment from the management and will then officially take on their new honorary post to protect our colleagues and the building.
