IWN regularly organizes driver safety training for company car users and logisticians every two years. However, this driver safety training was the first in which IWN employees participated with their private cars.

The driving safety trainings organized by IWN are preventive measures designed to optimize the vehicle control capabilities of all drivers, even in difficult traffic situations, and to prevent traffic accidents with the car as much as possible.

After a theory introduction in the areas of traffic safety, driving physics and vehicle technology, the participants went on the course of the traffic safety center. All participants had the chance to show their driving skills on the closed area.

Various weather conditions were simulated on different road surfaces, and avoiding manoeuvres and braking exercises were performed. Practical exercises on over- and understeering as well as reversing, cornering and slalom driving were also part of the training.

As a reward, all participants received a certificate at the end of the full-day driver safety training. Due to the many positive feedbacks, IWN will surely organize such a voluntary driver safety training again soon. The first interested employees have already communicated their interest.
