IWN's training ambassadors go into schools in the region and present and explain their educational as well as professional careers. They give the pupils insights into their own everyday training life, they report about their vocational school and they give tips for career orientation.
The special thing about the "Training Ambassadors" project is that the trainees and the pupils are of a similar age – and therefore the communication takes place at eye level.
The IHK training ambassadors are an important part of the state-wide project "Vocational Education Guides", which is striking a very positive note with schools in the region of OWL (East Westphalia Lippe).
In "normal" times (without Covid restrictions), the IHK awards certificates to the training ambassadors in a festive ceremony for their special commitment and dedication to career guidance. However, the ceremony had to be cancelled this year due to the epidemic. However, an honouring did take place.
The IHK Ostwestfalen zu Bielefeld (East Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce) sent three certificates by post to IWN, including a video greeting from the IHK President and the Chief Executive Officer. One certificate went to the employee Jan Eenkhorn (grinding shop) and one to the employee Timon Friesen (multiplex). During their vocational training, they were both on duty several times as training ambassadors in schools in the region and also at career orientation fairs to give pupils an understanding of the profession of machining mechanic, and the training involved.
With another certificate, the company IWN GmbH & Co. KG was also honoured for its special commitment to dual vocational training and career guidance in the project Vocational Education Guides Area Apprenticeship Ambassadors. The Managing Director Reinhold Schulte accepted the certificate.
We would like to thank the IHK Ostwestfalen zu Bielefeld for these honours. As soon as schools are open again on a regular basis, our young ambassadors will again be available for further information events in schools and at trade fairs.
Mit einer weiteren Urkunde wurde auch das Unternehmen IWN GmbH & Co. KG für das besondere Engagement für die duale Berufsausbildung und die Berufsorientierung im Projekt Berufliche Bildungslotsen Bereich Ausbildungsbotschafter geehrt. Diese Urkunde nahm Geschäftsführer Reinhold Schulte entgegen.
Wir bedanken uns bei der IHK Ostwestfalen zu Bielefeld für diese Ehrungen. Sobald die Schulen wieder regulär geöffnet sind, stehen unsere geschulten Ausbildungsbotschafter-Auszubildenden für weitere Informationsveranstaltungen in Schulen und auf Messen bereit.
