Five new trainees

Our managing directors Reinhold Schulte and Bernd Brinkmann as well as the trainers Holger Popp, André Vonnahme and Christopher Witt welcomed five young people who are starting their training at IWN yesterday morning.

Welcome to the IWN team (from left to right): Samet Keser, Kyrill Galochkin, Samira Kokott, Asaad Shermann (all prospective cutting machine operators) and Celine Warkentin (future industrial clerk).

Samira Kokott is the first woman ever to apply for an apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator at IWN – she proved her great interest in machining during a school internship in the spring. We are counting on being able to attract more female trainees in the future.
Kyrill Galochkin prepared for the start of his career at IWN with a two-year visit to a vocational school and several internships.
Celine Warkentin, the daughter of our maintenance manager Willi Warkentin, is the first industrial clerk we train – so far they have been industrial clerks.
Samet Keser, on the other hand, is a trainee who graduated from our partner school Kuhlo-Realschule. We are very pleased that our exclusive career information day in August 2021, only for students of the Kuhlo-Realschule, led to the conclusion of a training contract.

But there is also news from our trainers. Colleagues Christopher Witt and André Vonnahme will supervise apprentices at IWN for the first time.
For Holger Popp, on the other hand, the 2022 vintage is the last one he will supervise as a trainer.
After more than 15 years as a training manager, he will retire in November 2022.
