New commercial director

Bernd Brinkmann (55) will take up the newly created position of commercial director at IWN on 1 April 2022.

As commercial director, he is responsible for the areas of responsibility of the former commercial director Andreas Hübert, who left the company at the beginning of March for personal reasons. In addition, he will assume responsibility for the Technical Center.

As Commercial Director, Bernd Brinkmann has equal rights with our Managing Director Reinhold Schulte in all commercial areas.

Bernd Brinkmann, who lives in Paderborn-Elsen, Germany, is a very proficient expert from the industrial environment. The married father of a daughter and a son started his career as an industrial clerk and extended his knowledge by completing his studies in Business Administration. His résumé includes professional development stages with increasing management responsibility in the USA, in Bochum and in the Sauerland, Germany. At a group of companies with locations in Thuringia, Brandenburg, Rhineland-Palatinate as well as China and Bulgaria, he was most recently Managing Director and Group CFO. Now he is drawn back to his home in East Westphalia-Lippe, Germany.

Bernd Brinkmann’s comment on his new role: “There are exciting months and years ahead not only for IWN, but for the entire manufacturing industry. My ambition is to keep the ship IWN on course, especially now in the currently difficult international conditions. A major challenge will be to implement a reliable supply of materials at fair prices on a permanent basis in order to ensure solid liquidity.  My main tasks include the permanent and consistent further development of all business processes to ensure profitable growth.”

Managing Director Reinhold Schulte welcomes Bernd Brinkmann in his new position: “As commercial director, Bernd Brinkmann is a very experienced and knowledgeable professional. I am very pleased that we were able to attract him to work at IWN. He is a few years younger than I am and will actively support and advise the generational change we are seeking in IWN leadership.”
